Here is who we are and why we started My 2nd Home Child Nurturing Center.
My 2nd Home Child Nurturing Center was founded by a husband-and-wife team with nearly 60 years of combined experience in early childhood education. As foster parents searching for quality childcare, they could not find the care they wanted. So they built it. For more than 20 years, our family has been centered around caring for children. Our classrooms stay smaller than our licensed capacity.
In a center like ours, children move through the day with familiar adults who know their names. They play, eat, rest, and learn in the same rooms with the same teachers. You will see children painting, building, listening to stories, and playing outside. You can ask to visit and see the rooms during the day.
When children feel safe and respected, they settle faster and try new things. They may come home talking about a friend or a new word. They may show you something they made. That sense of belonging is the practical benefit of a center that treats every child as an individual.
